Tapestry Health has a wide range of options for volunteering and internships. Volunteers are welcome at all our sites throughout Western Massachusetts, providing support with all our services. Whether it's a few hours a week or a more substantial commitment, we welcome anyone who wants to help us make a difference.

Community Engagement Intern/Volunteer 

Tapestry Health is looking for a Community Engagement Intern/ Volunteer who will gain insight and experience into a non-profit health care organization.  Working with the Director of Development and Community Relations, and other staff and volunteers, the volunteer/intern will be involved in creating dynamic programs to engage many sectors of the community to participate in health care access for all.

Location: Regional Office, Florence

Hours: 10-40 per week 

Health Services: Amherst 

The Tapestry Health family planning health clinic in Amherst is looking for a dedicated intern/volunteer who is interested in reproductive health and working in a fast paced family planning clinic.  The intern/volunteer will work every other Saturday assisting staff with clients, handling pill pick ups, scheduling appointments, and other administrative duties that help the clinic run smoothly.  The intern/volunteer must be willing to work weekends, detail orientated, able to work in a fast paced environment and work well in a team or individually.

Location:  Amherst

Hours:  5-10 per week

Health Services: Pittsfield

The Pittsfield Tapestry Health family planning clinic is looking for an intern/volunteer that is committed to reproductive health to help provide support in the family planning clinic.  The intern/volunteer will learn about family planning, birth control, HIV/AIDS and the mission and goals of the agency.  The intern/volunteer will be responsible for providing administrative and client support, must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and work well individually or in a team.

Location:  Pittsfield

Hours: Up to 20 per week 

Needle Exchange Harm Reduction Site

Tapestry Health is looking for an intern/volunteer to work at our Needle Exchange program and gain hands on experience and knowledge about harm reduction philosophy, successful syringe exchange programs, HIV transmission and prevention, and overdose prevention and reversal.  The intern/volunteer will work as staff support, conducting needle exchange encounters with enrolled participants and handling office tasks with strict confidential care.

Location: Northampton

Hours: 5- 15 per week 

Care Coordination Program (Women's Health Program) 

The Tapestry Health Care Coordination Program is looking for an intern/volunteer to work directly with the Program Director to help provide free breast and cervical cancer screenings to women across western Massachusetts.  The intern/ volunteer will provide important administrative and client support services, ensuring that CCP clients get the best care possible.

Location:  Northampton

Hours: Up to 20 per week
