Tapestry Health offers pregnancy testing either on a walk-in basis or by appointment. Testing is completely confidential, even if you are under 18. The results will not be disclosed to anyone. We also offer the opportunity to discuss your options with a counselor and refer you for prenatal care. The cost of the test depends upon your family income and the size of your family. In some cases, the test is free. For Tapestry Health locations that provide pregnancy testing, click here. About the TestAt Tapestry Health, the pregnancy test we use involves urinating in a cup. No blood will be drawn. The urine test can reveal the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone that is present only when a woman is pregnant. It only takes about five minutes to find out whether you are pregnant. The urine test can be performed if it's been at least 10 days since you've had intercourse and is 99.6 percent accurate in determining whether you are pregnant. In some cases, if the test is negative, and you still do not get your period, you will be given a follow-up pregnancy test. If You Are PregnantTapestry Health's counselors can talk with you about your options, including giving birth, adoption, abortion, and prenatal care. We can also refer you to other doctors and specialists who can help you. If it has been less than 5 days or 120 hours since you had unprotected sex, you may be eligible for Emergency Contraception.
